Jordan is that rare, spectacular talent who works in both the visual and verbal realms. A gifted graphic designer, she works her magic through an array of primarily digital marketing communications: social media posts, ads, newsletters, email campaigns and more. Driven by her create passions, she’s always expanding her bag of tricks, most recently in motion graphics.
What is your professional background?
I graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and design studies. With over seven years of experience in marketing, I’ve held roles in communications and graphic design, with an interest in motion graphics. Prior to joining Trilix, I worked in the educational technology industry.
What is the best part about being a digital designer?
I enjoy the chance to work with a diverse range of clients. Switching between different brands when designing helps me become a better visual problem-solver. My professional strengths are my creativity and adaptability. Designing content for digital platforms makes creativity and adaptability a necessity because digital sites inevitably introduce new features, user interfaces and sizing formats. This pushes me to think about ways I can optimize each design to elevate the content and better connect with audiences.
If you could do any other kind of work, what would it be?
I’d work as an art historian or art conservator. There’s such incredible attention to detail with art conservation. Conservators even have to examine the chemistry of the medium used and application techniques.
