Trilix is excited to have Leah Little join the Media team! As a new graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Leah brings an open mind and a can-do attitude to our Des Moines office. Growing up in Anamosa and attending college in Cedar Falls, Leah knows Iowa as well as anyone and is looking forward to helping Trilix build better relationships inside and outside the company.
We chatted with Leah to learn a little more about her.
Can you tell me about your professional background and education?
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 2022. As a recent graduate, I want to absorb as much as I can about our industry right out of college.
What are your strengths?
I’m great at professional communication, and I have the ability to adapt to any situation. I’m good at working with a team to find a good solution to a challenge.
Tell us about your life outside work. What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies?
I grew up in Anamosa, Iowa. I currently have two dogs, both Aussiedoodles — Coco and Ember. I enjoy volunteering at my church with my boyfriend. I played recreational league soccer in high school and still enjoy playing when I can. I also enjoy sand volleyball and kickboxing.
What motivates you at work?
People! I like being a team player, and because of this, I feed off the energy of others.
Favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation so far would be pretty much anywhere in Colorado.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to visit Europe.
What is your favorite type of food?
I’m a big fan of Italian and Mexican food — especially pasta or enchiladas.
Favorite movie and/or TV show?
My favorite movies include anything from Marvel. My favorite TV show is “All American,” and my favorite reality show is “The Kardashians.”
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
Simple — I’d swap with Carole, our operations specialist at the office, so I could know all the insider info!
Morning person or night owl?
Although I still like to have fun at night, I like to be in bed early. So I guess I’m a morning person.
If you could do any other kind of work, what would it be?
I always wanted to work with a nonprofit. One reason I wanted to work at Trilix is because of the company’s involvement with multiple nonprofit organizations across the state.
