Last month, we bid farewell to Trilix’s longest-tenured employee, Annette Halbur. While we will miss Annette, we are excited to welcome Bridget Raife as our next human resources and payroll manager. Bridget’s already made a positive impact at Trilix, helping integrate new technology and streamline processes to improve efficiency across all departments.

Originally from Grapevine, Texas, Bridget moved to Des Moines to be closer to family and friends. She graduated from Grand View University with a degree in human resources management and communications, and she loves working in HR because it allows her to connect with a variety of different personalities and backgrounds. We sat down with Bridget to learn more about her hobbies, her dream travel destination and where she finds motivation.

What is your favorite thing about working in human resources?

HR is ever-changing and growing, which means I am never bored, and there is always a new and exciting adventure/challenge right around the corner. It is truly a blessing to get to work with so much diversity and build relationships with such a lovely bunch of people. Everyone has a story, and it is a pleasure to help others embrace and maximize their talents while strengthening a team as well as the company culture.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies or unique talents?

I love to go to hockey games, hiking, church, swimming, walking, yard work. Pretty much anything outside!

What’s one song you have completely memorized?

“MMMBop” by Hanson or almost any NSYNC or Backstreet Boys song. I was born in ’84, so those are my jams!

If you didn’t work in this industry, which career path would you choose?

An optometrist. I was an optician for years prior to my move into HR. I love examining the eyes. They hold so much science, beauty and power for our bodies.

What motivates you at work?

Working with positive people and seeing them grow! There is nothing more motivating than seeing people happy with what they are doing and where they work. It makes for great things!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Australia

Welcome to the team, Bridget!
